I have spent 14+ years in cloud and DevOps, and I teach it on my YouTube channel, TechTutorialsWithPiyush, which has over 120,000 subscribers. I also wrote the Certified Kubernetes Administrator Study Companion for Apress.

I post Reels too. The ones that did well brought hundreds of comments asking for the same link, and I was answering them by hand late at night.

The tools that could do it for me were priced per contact (ManyChat's free plan stops at 25 contacts a month), and I still needed a second tool just to schedule the Reels.

What ReelDrop does

ReelDrop covers the two jobs that take most of a creator's time on Instagram: answering comments and getting Reels out on schedule. Everything else on this list supports those two.

Comment-to-DM automation

Someone comments a keyword like GUIDE on your Reel, and ReelDrop replies to the comment in public and sends them your link in a DM within seconds. You stop copy-pasting links at midnight, and the comment replies push the Reel to more people while it's fresh. The free plan runs 5 of these automations with no monthly cap on DMs.

You upload a Reel, carousel or photo, pick a time, and ReelDrop publishes it through the official Instagram API even if your phone is off. It also schedules trial Reels and first comments, and scheduling is unlimited on every plan, including the free one.

Set the DM automation while you schedule the Reel

Because ReelDrop is also your scheduler, you attach the keyword, link and DM to a Reel in the same composer where you schedule it, and the automation goes live the second the Reel publishes. In ManyChat you need the Pro plan's Flow Builder for a "next post" trigger, and its dashboard can't see posts you've scheduled elsewhere.

A different public reply for every comment

Paid plans let you write unlimited reply variants, so 1,000 comments can get 1,000 different public replies instead of the same line pasted over and over. Retrigger also goes back over comments that arrived before you switched the automation on, so the first hour of a Reel isn't lost.

Official Instagram API, registered Meta Tech Provider

ReelDrop is a registered Meta Tech Provider and works only through the official Instagram API. It never asks for your Instagram password and never drives your account through a headless browser, which is the usual way automation tools get Instagram accounts flagged.

The team behind ReelDrop

ReelDrop (https://www.reeldrop.io) started in 2026 inside 10517933 Canada Ltd., the Toronto company that also builds CannerAI, and it runs on the same infrastructure. It opened to the public in August 2026, and since then Piyush has posted its signups, revenue and bugs in public on X and Reddit, including the weeks when the numbers were bad.
