Meta One Advanced review: is the $49.99 plan worth it?
Updated:
Meta One Advanced is worth $49.99 a month if you want a verified badge and shared access for a small team. It is a bad deal if links in your Reels are all you want. You get links on 4 Instagram Reels and 4 posts a month, about $12.50 per linked Reel if you use every one (our calculation). The badge is an option to apply for, subject to eligibility.
Verdict
I spent the day after launch reading every Meta One help article, because clicks from a Reel are the exact problem ReelDrop was built to work around. I came out of it more positive about the plan than I expected, and less positive about the links.
Advanced is a better plan than Meta Verified Plus, which sits at the same price. It has twice the Instagram Reel links and adds post links, Facebook Reel links, scheduling, exportable insights and shared access. If you already pay $49.99 for Meta Verified Plus, Advanced looks like an upgrade on paper, with a couple of trade-offs covered below. Meta says it is working on migration plans for current subscribers.
The link allowance is still small. Four Reels a month is one a week, and a link cannot be edited once the Reel is shared. If clicks from Reels are the whole reason you are here, the price is hard to defend.
What $49.99 buys
Advanced includes everything in Essential, then adds a long list of business tools. The table keeps the ones that matter for an Instagram creator or a small business. Meta's launch post describes the tier as "Advanced publishing features like scheduling stories up to 30 days in advance, links in organic posts and reels, exportable analytics, and deeper audience insights."
Every Meta One plan and price, plus how to subscribe and cancel, is on our Meta One subscription explainer, so this page sticks to Advanced.

Meta One Advanced vs Meta Verified Plus
Both cost $49.99 a month per profile, and Meta Verified is still listed on Meta's site, so this is the comparison that matters for anyone who already pays for a badge.
On links, Advanced wins outright. Meta Verified Plus does list two things I could not find in the Advanced plan list, custom chat themes and exclusive stickers (in Meta One, chat themes start at Expert). Support is described differently as well. Meta Verified Plus advertises 24/7 chat or email with faster resolution, and Advanced lists one chat with a human agent per month. I cannot tell from the help pages whether that is less help in practice or just different wording, so I would not switch for support alone.

What each link costs on Advanced, Expert and Max
Meta prices the plans by profile per month, and the link count grows slower than the price, so each link gets more expensive as you climb tiers. The figures assume you use every link every month. Skip one week and the Advanced price per linked Reel goes from $12.50 to about $16.66 (our calculation).
Two details change the math in your favor. Links to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads do not count toward the allowance, so if your call to action is a WhatsApp chat, the cap barely matters. Product links from a catalog you already run on Meta are exempt too. What works against you is that posts and Reels are counted separately. You cannot move unused post links over to Reels, so if you never post photos with links, half of those 8 links go to waste.
Pricing is per profile as well. Two Instagram accounts on Advanced cost $99.98 a month (our calculation), which is where the per-link number starts to look silly for anyone running a brand account next to a personal one.
| Metric | Advanced | Expert | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price per month | $49.99 | $149 | $499 |
| Linked Instagram Reels | 4 | 8 | 12 |
| Cost per linked Reel | $12.50 | $18.63 | $41.58 |
| Cost per link, posts and Reels | $6.25 (8) | $9.31 (16) | $20.79 (24) |
Our calculation from Meta's published US prices and monthly link allowances. Links to Meta apps, catalog product links and links in ads do not count toward the allowance.
What Advanced adds on Facebook
Most talk about Advanced is about Instagram, yet a good share of the plan list is Facebook features, and you pay for them whether or not you post there.
Advanced gives you links on 8 Facebook Reels a month, twice the Instagram allowance. Meta also lists featured in feed, optimized search, a bold follow button on Facebook Reels and follow invites. On the planning side there is an optimized schedule that lets you schedule up to a year ahead and publish when your followers are most active, plus custom audience insights for Facebook.
The part I would use most is original content credit. Meta says Advanced notifies you when others use your Facebook content, and you can act on it up to 2 times a month. For anyone whose clips get reuploaded by aggregator pages, that is worth something, though 2 actions a month is a small number if it happens a lot.
Who should buy Meta One Advanced
Buy it if you want a verified badge anyway and were going to pay for Meta Verified. At the same $49.99 Advanced gives you more, and the links become a bonus rather than the thing you are paying for.
Small teams get the most out of it. Shared access for up to 4 people means an editor or assistant can work in the Instagram account without your password. Add a year of scheduling runway and insights you can export to a spreadsheet, and Advanced starts to look like a small social media tool with a badge attached.
It also suits accounts that post on Facebook as much as on Instagram, for the reasons in the section above. If Facebook is dead for you, a chunk of the plan goes unused.
Who should not buy it
If all you want is people clicking from your Reels to your shop or newsletter, I would not pay $49.99 a month for four links. You would be buying scheduling and a badge you do not need to get one linked Reel a week.
It also fits badly if you post more than one link-worthy Reel a week, because four links run out before the month does. Teen creators are out entirely, since Meta says teens cannot use Add link.
And if you run your links through trackers or change offers often, remember that a link cannot be edited after sharing. If the offer ends while the Reel is still getting views, that link points at nothing for good.
What I would do instead
Weigh this knowing I run ReelDrop. ReelDrop cannot put a clickable link inside a Reel. A link on the Reel itself comes from a paid Meta plan: Meta One Advanced and up, or the Meta Verified Plus, Premium and Max plans that are still on sale.
What ReelDrop does is comment-to-DM. You end the Reel with a prompt like "comment LINK", and when someone comments that word, ReelDrop sends the DM with your link through the official Instagram API. ReelDrop is a Meta Tech Provider. The viewer has to comment and open the message, which is one more step than tapping a link. In return you can change the link any time. The free plan runs 5 comment-to-DM automations on one account with no card, and unlimited automations start on Influencer.
You can run both, with one catch. As of API v26.0, Instagram's content publishing API has no field for a link on a post or reel, so no scheduling tool, ReelDrop included, can add Meta One's Add link for you. A Reel with Add link has to be posted from the Instagram app, so it cannot be scheduled through ReelDrop.
ReelDrop is Instagram only and needs a professional (Business or Creator) account. It will not add links to Facebook Reels, and it comes with no badge and no shared access. If you wanted those, buy Advanced.
| Plan | Price | Comment-to-DM |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free, no card | 5 automations, 1 Instagram account |
| Influencer | $9.99/month or $79/year | Unlimited automations, all trigger types |
| Creator | $29/month or $149/year (founding pricing) | Unlimited automations, up to 5 accounts |

If clicks from Reels were the whole point, try sending the link by DM before paying for four of them.

Is Meta One Advanced worth it?
It is worth it if you would use the badge option, the scheduling, the insights export and shared access, since the $49.99 price covers all of them. It is poor value if you only want links in Reels, because you get 4 linked Reels a month, about $12.50 each at full use by our calculation.
How much is the Meta One Advanced plan?
Meta One Advanced is $49.99 a month per profile in the US. Meta says pricing may vary by region, app and account, and it has not published local prices, so check the price in your app.
How many links do you get with Meta One Advanced?
Advanced includes links on up to 4 Instagram posts and 4 Instagram Reels per month, plus 8 Facebook Reels. Posts and Reels have separate allowances, and the count resets on your renewal date.
What are the benefits of Meta One Advanced?
Beyond links, Advanced adds Instagram scheduling (stories 30 days ahead, posts and Reels a year ahead), competitive insights with spreadsheet export, shared access for up to 4 people, a monthly chat with a human agent and 500 WhatsApp broadcast credits. It also includes everything in Essential, including the option to apply for a verified badge, subject to eligibility.
Is Meta One Advanced better than Meta Verified Plus?
For links and business tools, yes. Both are $49.99 a month, but Advanced gives 4 linked Reels instead of 2 and adds post links, Facebook Reel links, scheduling and shared access. Meta Verified Plus lists custom chat themes and 24/7 support wording that the Advanced plan list does not.
What does Meta One Advanced add on Facebook?
Advanced includes links on 8 Facebook Reels a month, featured in feed, optimized search, a bold follow button on Facebook Reels and follow invites. It also adds Facebook scheduling up to a year ahead, custom audience insights and original content credit, which lets you act up to 2 times a month when others use your Facebook content.
Does Meta One Advanced cover more than one Instagram account?
No. Meta prices the creator and business plans per profile, so each Instagram account needs its own subscription. Two accounts on Advanced would cost $99.98 a month by our calculation.
Do links to WhatsApp or my Facebook page count toward the Advanced limit?
No. Links to Meta technologies (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads) do not count toward your monthly limit. Product links from your existing Meta commerce catalog and links in ads do not count either.
Should I upgrade from Advanced to Expert for more links?
Not for links alone. Expert is $149 for 8 linked Reels, which is about $18.63 per Reel by our calculation, compared with $12.50 on Advanced. Expert makes more sense if you need 8 people on shared access or 5 support cases a month.
