Meta One subscription explained: plans, pricing and what you get

Updated:

A Meta One subscription costs between $2.99 and $499 a month in the US, depending on the plan. Meta launched it on 15 September 2026 as one paid subscription across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI. There are nine plans, and the four creator and business plans are the ones with a verified badge option and, from Advanced up, links in posts and Reels.

How much is a Meta One subscription?

Meta sells three kinds of plan under the Meta One name. Single app plans add extras to one app, and personal bundles add Meta AI allowances on top. The creator and business bundles are where the verified badge option lives, and from Advanced up they add scheduling and links in posts and Reels. Those four are priced per profile, so two Instagram accounts on Advanced would be $99.98 a month (our calculation).

Meta has only published US dollar prices. The plans page says "Features, plans, availability and pricing may vary by region, app and account," and I have not seen an official price in rupees, pounds or Canadian dollars anywhere, so I am not going to guess one.

What are the benefits of a Meta One subscription?

Meta's own line in the launch post is that "The core experience across our apps and Meta AI has always been free, and that's not changing." Meta One sits on top of the free apps, with more than 50 features at launch according to Meta.

On the personal side, most of what you pay for is cosmetic or AI. Instagram Plus gets you things like a custom app icon, custom bio fonts, more pinned posts, multiple story audiences and the option to extend how long a story stays up. Core and Premium add allowances for generating and editing images and video with Meta AI.

On the creator side, Essential includes Instagram Plus, WhatsApp Plus and Facebook Plus. It also gives you the option to apply for a verified badge (subject to eligibility), impersonation protection once verified, and a link page in your Instagram bio with up to 20 links. Advanced is where the business tools start: scheduling, insights, shared access, human support and links inside posts and Reels.

What each creator plan adds

Each tier includes everything in the one below it. The table only shows the rows that change a buying decision, and it leaves out the smaller Facebook and WhatsApp extras such as featured in feed, original content credit and extra WhatsApp channels.

My read of this table: Essential is a badge plan with a link page attached. Advanced is where Meta starts charging for work tools. Past Advanced, most of what the extra money buys is room for a bigger team and more WhatsApp broadcasts, and the link allowance grows far more slowly than the price does.

  • Advanced scheduling means stories up to 30 days ahead, posts and Reels up to a year ahead, suggested times, a grid preview and bulk upload on instagram.com
  • Advanced also adds competitive insights, a longer insights history and export to a spreadsheet
  • Max adds an adviser call every 6 months

The links rules, in short

Meta calls the feature Add link. It adds a clickable link to a post or Reel, and in Meta's words, "People can visit the website from your post or reel." Links in Reels are not a Meta One invention, since Meta Verified Plus, Premium and Max already sell 2, 4 and 6 a month. The rules Meta One attaches to them are strict enough that they belong next to the price.

Our guide to adding a link to an Instagram Reel (linked at the bottom of this page) has the step by step and every exception. Four of the rules are worth knowing before you pay.

  • Essential has no links in posts or Reels. Advanced gets 4 posts and 4 Reels a month, Expert 8 and 8, Max 12 and 12.
  • Links are for eligible public Instagram accounts, and Meta says "Teens can't use this feature."
  • The allowance resets when your subscription renews, and a link cannot be edited after you share the post or Reel.
  • Links to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads, product links from your Meta catalog and links in ads do not count toward the allowance.

If you only want clicks from your Reel

A link on the Reel itself comes from a paid Meta plan: Meta One Advanced and up, or the Meta Verified Plus, Premium and Max plans that are still on sale. ReelDrop cannot put a clickable link inside a Reel. What it does is send the link by DM when someone comments a keyword on your Reel. You end the Reel with something like "comment GUIDE and I will send it", and ReelDrop sends the DM when the comment lands.

The viewer takes one extra step, since they have to comment and then open the message. What you get back is a link you can change whenever you want. The free plan covers 5 comment-to-DM automations on one account with no card, and unlimited automations start on Influencer. ReelDrop is a Meta Tech Provider, runs on the official Instagram API, and is Instagram only.

You can use both. Just know that as of API v26.0, Instagram's content publishing API has no field for a link on a post or reel, so no scheduling tool, ReelDrop included, can add Meta One's Add link for you. A Reel with Add link has to be posted from the Instagram app.

ReelDrop needs a professional (Business or Creator) Instagram account, so a private personal account cannot use it either.

If the link is the whole reason you were looking at Meta One, comment-to-DM can get it to people, starting on the free plan.

How to subscribe to Meta One and how to cancel

You subscribe inside a Meta mobile app on iPhone or Android, and you pay through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Meta's help center says it is working to enable web onboarding. The same subscribe article also lists Meta Business Suite for web as a place to start, which contradicts the mobile-only line, so if you manage a business profile it is worth checking there before you assume you need your phone.

To be eligible you need to be in a country where the plan is available, have an active account in good standing and accept the terms. Government and political entities, including politicians, cannot subscribe. Availability is its own mess. The newsroom post says the plans "are now available globally", while the help center still says Meta One "is currently in limited testing and isn't available everywhere yet." I would treat it as rolling out.

The subscription renews automatically. You can cancel at any time and you keep access until the end of the billing period you already paid for. Meta's cancellation article, linked in the sources below, has the steps.

Instagram Plus vs Meta One

Instagram Plus is one of the Meta One plans, the $3.99 one. It is a personal plan for people who want more control over stories and their profile, with things like story rewatch insights, story previews, seeing when a story was viewed and custom fonts in DMs and stories. Its feature list has no verified badge, no scheduling and no links in Reels.

Creators do not need to buy Instagram Plus separately, because Essential and every tier above it include Instagram Plus, WhatsApp Plus and Facebook Plus. For a regular user who likes the story tools, $3.99 is the cheapest way in, and the creator plans would be wasted money.

Who should buy which plan

Nicer stories and a custom icon cost $3.99 with Instagram Plus, and that is all most regular users need. People who mainly make images or video with Meta AI should compare Core and Premium and ignore the creator tiers entirely.

Essential at $14.99 is for the badge option, impersonation protection and a 20-link bio page. It does nothing for links inside Reels.

Advanced at $49.99 is a real decision with trade-offs against Meta Verified Plus, so it gets its own page: the Meta One Advanced review covers who should buy it and what each link costs.

Expert and Max make sense for teams that live on WhatsApp broadcasts and need support cases answered. I would not move up a tier for the extra links alone.

Frequently asked questions

What does a Meta subscription include?

Single app plans like Instagram Plus add profile and story extras, and the personal bundles add Meta AI image and video allowances. The creator plans add the option to apply for a verified badge and a bio link page, and from Advanced up they add scheduling, insights, shared access and links in posts and Reels. The free apps stay free.

Is Meta One the same thing as Meta Verified?

No. Meta Verified is still listed with its own four plans, and Meta describes Meta One as a subscription that builds on it. Our Meta One vs Meta Verified page compares the plans and covers what Meta has said about moving subscribers across.

How much is Meta One in India, the UK or Canada?

Meta has only published US dollar prices so far. Its plans page says pricing may vary by region, app and account, so check the price shown in your Instagram or Facebook app before you subscribe. Any local figure you see online that does not come from the app is a guess.

Is Meta One available in every country?

Not clearly. Meta's newsroom post says the plans are available globally, while its help center still says Meta One is in limited testing and not available everywhere yet. If you do not see it in your app, it has not reached your account.

What is the cheapest Meta One plan?

WhatsApp Plus at $2.99 a month is the cheapest, followed by Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus at $3.99. The cheapest creator plan is Essential at $14.99 a month per profile, which includes all three Plus plans.

Does Meta One Essential include links in Reels?

No. Essential at $14.99 includes a link page in your Instagram bio with up to 20 links, but links inside posts and Reels start at Advanced, which is $49.99 a month per profile and allows 4 of each per month.

Can teens or private accounts add links with Meta One?

No. Meta's help article says eligible public Instagram accounts can add links to posts and Reels, and that teens cannot use the feature. A private account would need to be public to qualify.

Can I subscribe to Meta One on the web?

Mostly not yet. Meta's help center says you can only subscribe through a supported Meta mobile app on iPhone or Android, and that it is working to enable web onboarding. The subscribe article also mentions Meta Business Suite for web, so business profiles may see an option there.

How do I cancel Meta One?

You can cancel at any time and keep your features until the end of the billing period you paid for. The subscription renews automatically until you do. Meta's help center has a dedicated cancellation article with the steps.
