Meta One alternatives: cheaper ways to get links out of your Reels (2026)
Updated: September 2026 · Claims about ReelDrop reflect the product as it works today.
What changed since the last check:
- 2026-09-16: Page written the day after Meta launched Meta One, with prices and link rules checked against Meta's plans page and help center.
Meta One Advanced costs $49.99 a month per profile and lets you add a clickable link to 4 Instagram Reels. If links are the only reason you are looking, a comment-to-DM tool sends the link to everyone who comments a keyword, and ReelDrop's free plan covers 5 automations. If you also want the badge option and team tools, Meta One is a fair buy.
Meta launched Meta One on 15 September 2026, and the feature that matters for this guide is Add link: a clickable link on Instagram posts and Reels, from the Advanced plan up. Meta Verified Plus already offered 2 linked Reels a month. At $49.99, $149 and $499 the Instagram Reel allowance goes from 2, 4 and 6 to 4, 8 and 12, and Meta One adds post links; at $14.99 neither plan includes Reel links. It is still rationed, and the price per link rises with each tier.
This guide answers a narrow question: what else gets a click out of a Reel, for less? None of the alternatives put a link on the Reel. They deliver it another way, usually by DM when someone comments. I run ReelDrop, which is one of them; the section on when Meta One is the better buy is below the comparison.
Why people look for Meta One alternatives
- Four linked Reels a month on Advanced. At $49.99 that is about $12.50 per linked Reel if you use every one (our calculation), and more if you skip a week.
- Unused links don't carry over, and posts and Reels have separate allowances, so spare post links cannot be spent on Reels.
- You can't edit a link after sharing. When an offer ends, the link on that Reel keeps pointing at it.
- Pricing is per profile. Two Instagram accounts on Advanced is $99.98 a month (our calculation).
- Essential at $14.99 has no links in posts or Reels. Add link is for eligible public accounts, and teens can't use it.
- Sign-up is through a supported Meta mobile app for now (the subscribe article also lists Meta Business Suite for web). Meta says it is working to enable web onboarding, and its help center still calls Meta One "limited testing" even though the newsroom says it is available globally.
What Meta One and the alternatives cost
The units do not line up neatly, so read the Links column before the price. Meta One sells a number of linked posts and Reels per profile per month. ReelDrop counts active automations, ManyChat counts the people who talk to you, and LinkDM counts DMs sent.
| Plan | Price | Links |
|---|---|---|
| Meta One Essential | $14.99/mo | Bio link page only (up to 20 links) |
| Meta One Advanced | $49.99/mo | Add link: 4 Reels + 4 posts a month |
| Meta One Expert | $149/mo | Add link: 8 Reels + 8 posts a month |
| Meta One Max | $499/mo | Add link: 12 Reels + 12 posts a month |
| ReelDrop Starter | $0 | By DM after a comment: 5 automations |
| ReelDrop Influencer | $9.99/mo | By DM: unlimited automations |
| ReelDrop Creator | $29/mo | By DM: unlimited automations, 5 accounts |
| ManyChat Essential | $14/mo | By DM: 250 Active Contacts a month |
| LinkDM Pro | $19/mo | By DM: 25,000 DMs a month per account |
Meta One prices are per profile. Meta One prices and link allowances from the Meta One plans page and Meta's help center, checked 16 September 2026 (US prices; Meta says pricing may vary by region). ManyChat and LinkDM from their own pricing pages. If a number here has gone stale, the vendor page wins.
- If you want the option to apply for a verified badge, subject to eligibility, plus team access and scheduling, Advanced's 4 Reel links are a bonus and the math above matters less.
- If links are the whole reason, the link-by-DM tools here start free, and their paid plans run $9.99 to $29 a month.
- If your call to action is a WhatsApp chat, Meta One's cap barely applies, because links to Meta apps don't count toward the allowance.
The free plan includes five comment-to-DM automations on one account and does not ask for a card.

How we picked: the tools had to help with the job most people want Meta One's Add link for, getting a click out of a Reel, and be live in September 2026. The auto-publishing rule from our scheduler guides does not apply. Most of the list is comment-to-DM tools, because a DM is where they put the link. Meta Business Suite is the exception: it sends no links, and it is here as the free native tool for people who mostly wanted Meta One for scheduling. No tool on this list places a link inside the Reel; only a paid Meta plan does that.
1. ReelDrop
that's usFree plan availableReelDrop is an Instagram DM automation and Reels scheduling tool for creators, with AI carousels, captions and hashtags, built on the official Instagram API. Against Meta One the pitch is narrow. ReelDrop cannot put a link inside your Reel, but when someone comments your keyword it sends them the link by DM, and you attach that automation while you schedule the Reel. The free plan includes 5 comment-to-DM automations, comment trigger, one account, no card; unlimited automations start on Influencer. ReelDrop has three plans: Starter is free with 1 Instagram account, Influencer is $9.99/month or $79/year for unlimited DM automations, and Creator is $29/month with founding pricing at $149/year or $249 lifetime.
And the catch, since every entry here gets one: ReelDrop is Instagram-only and cannot put a link inside a Reel, so a commenter has to open a DM to get the link, and whether they see it depends on their message settings. It does not sell or arrange a verified badge, it needs an Instagram professional account (Business or Creator), and it is a small Canadian company next to Meta, so weigh the reviews accordingly.
2. Meta Business Suite
Free plan: Entirely free · FreeMeta's own free tool. It schedules posts, reels, and stories to Instagram and Facebook, shows native analytics, and handles the shared inbox. Best for anyone who wants free, official scheduling and nothing else. Native scheduling, the baseline every paid tool has to beat.
Trade-off: No AI content help, no multi-platform support beyond Meta, clunky calendar, and no approval workflows. You get what you pay for.
3. ManyChat
Free plan: Yes, but only 25 Active Contacts a month since 2 March 2026 · Essential $14/mo (250 contacts), Pro $29/mo (2,500), Business $69/mo, Advanced $139/moThe market leader in Instagram DM automation. Keyword triggers, comment-to-DM flows, and a visual flow builder used by most "comment SHOP to get the link" campaigns you see. Best for creators and stores running serious DM funnels. Official Meta partner for Instagram messaging automation.
Trade-off: It is only messaging, so scheduling and content still need a second tool, and the bill tracks how many people talk to you.
4. LinkDM
Free plan: Yes: 1,000 DMs per month with core AutoDM on posts, reels, and stories · Pro at $19/month (up to 3 accounts, 25,000 DMs per account per month)A creator-focused AutoDM tool, a Meta Business Partner since 2021, popular with US affiliate creators (LTK, Amazon, Mavely). The free tier includes 1,000 DMs a month, which is real usable volume. Best for affiliate creators who send product links from comments and story replies. Meta Business Partner since 2021. AutoDM on posts, reels, stories, mentions, and sponsored ads; also covers Facebook comments.
Trade-off: Messaging only, with monthly DM caps that meter success. No AI answering, no scheduling, no content tools, and lead capture plus flow sequences sit on the Pro plan.
5. SuperProfile
Free plan: Yes: link-in-bio store, unlimited comment-to-DM on posts and reels, up to 10 leads · Creator at $29/month ($4.99 first month); free Starter planA creator monetization platform with Instagram DM automation bolted on top: AutoDM, link-in-bio store, lead magnets, plus selling digital products, courses, communities, and coaching from one account. Best for creators who sell digital products and want AutoDM feeding that storefront. Meta Tech Provider. AutoDM triggers on posts, reels, stories, DMs, and lives on paid plans.
Trade-off: It is a selling platform first. There is no post scheduling or content creation, and the advanced DM flows (ask-to-follow, email capture, follow-ups) sit behind the paid plan.
6. Zorcha
Free plan: Yes: 3 automations, unlimited DMs, AI FAQ replies · Pro from $14.99/month ($9.99/month billed annually)A newer Instagram DM automation tool pitching itself as the cheaper, simpler ManyChat: comment-to-DM, story replies, AI FAQ answers, and a free plan with unlimited DMs on 3 automations. Best for creators who want ManyChat-style comment-to-DM without ManyChat pricing or complexity. Meta Tech Provider. Comment-to-DM, story reply, DM-to-DM; follow-before-DM on Pro and above.
Trade-off: Messaging only, and young: no scheduling or content tools, the custom flow builder is still marked "coming soon," and follow-before-DM plus follow-ups require paid tiers.
7. CreatorFlow
Free plan: Yes: 1 account, 500 DMs per month, unlimited keyword triggers and templates · Pro at $15/month ($12/month billed annually); Growth at $30/monthA flat-rate Instagram DM automation tool built as the anti-ManyChat: no per-contact pricing, unlimited automations on every plan, and a free tier with 500 DMs a month. Best for creators who want predictable flat pricing for comment-to-DM as their audience grows. Meta tech provider on the official Graph API. Comment-to-DM and story replies on free; follow gate, email gate, and link tracking on Pro.
Trade-off: Monthly DM caps replace contact-based fees, so a viral reel can pause your automations until a top-up. Follow gate and email collection need Pro, and it is a younger, smaller product than the incumbents.
Switching away from Meta One
- If you have not subscribed yet, count last month's Reels that had a real offer behind them. If it was four or fewer and you wanted the badge option and scheduling too, Advanced may suit you as it is.
- If you want the verified badge but not the links, Essential at $14.99 includes the option to apply for one, subject to eligibility.
- If you already subscribed and decide to cancel, follow Meta's cancellation article. The plan renews automatically, and Meta says you keep access until the end of the billing period, so spend the links you have left first.
- Links can't be edited after sharing. For a linked Reel whose offer is about to change, put the new URL in your bio and in a comment automation on that Reel.
- Connect your Instagram Business or Creator account to ReelDrop, create a comment automation with a keyword, and put your URL on the DM's link button. Point it at your best Reel from the grid of recent media.
- On new Reels, end the caption with the keyword ask and attach the automation in the composer while you schedule, so it is live the moment the Reel publishes.

ReelDrop's own limits
- ReelDrop cannot place a link inside a Reel or a post, including the ones it publishes for you. As of API v26.0, Instagram's content publishing API has no field for a link on a post or reel, so no scheduling tool, ReelDrop included, can add Meta One's Add link for you. It has to be done in the Instagram app when you post.
- No verified badge. ReelDrop does not sell or arrange one.
- Instagram only. No Facebook reel links and no WhatsApp.
- More work for the viewer: they comment, then open the DM. Some people will not bother, and whether they see the DM depends on their message settings.
- The free plan's trigger is a comment on a Reel, on up to 5 active automations. On the free plan you attach an automation to the Reels you pick; the 'all Reels and posts' target that covers everything you publish is on the paid plans. Posts, carousels, story replies, the follow gate and timed follow-ups need Influencer.
When Meta One Advanced is the better buy
If you were going to pay for Meta Verified anyway and Meta One is available to your account, look hard at Advanced. It costs $49.99 like Meta Verified Plus, and Plus lists 2 links in Reels a month where Advanced lists 4, plus 4 post links, Facebook reel links, scheduling, insights and shared access. Meta says nothing changes for current Meta Verified subscribers yet and it will notify them when they can make the switch.
It also makes sense for a small team. Advanced includes shared access for up to 4 people without sharing the password, a monthly chat with a human agent, and insights you can export to a spreadsheet. A DM tool does not replace those. If your links mostly go to WhatsApp, Meta's own apps don't count toward the cap, so the rationing mostly disappears.
Running both
They do not conflict. If you have Advanced, use Add link in the Instagram app on the 4 Reels that matter most each month, then attach a comment automation to those live Reels from the media grid. A Reel with Meta's Add link has to be posted from the Instagram app, so it cannot be scheduled through ReelDrop or any API tool. Every other Reel that month can be scheduled in ReelDrop and run on the comment keyword alone.
What ReelDrop includes (same on every guide)
Every ReelDrop plan includes unlimited Instagram scheduling and posting with a content calendar, reels with cover selection, carousel support, Instagram analytics, and the free tools on this site. Starter is free and covers 1 account with 5 DM automations. Influencer adds unlimited DM automations, every trigger type and first-comment scheduling. Creator adds 5 accounts, unlimited AI captions, 100 AI carousel images a month plus purchasable credits, AI reel thumbnails and dynamic hashtag suggestions. Prices on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest alternative to Meta One for links in Reels?
Sending the link by DM when someone comments a keyword. ReelDrop's free plan includes 5 comment-to-DM automations, comment trigger, one account, no card, and LinkDM's free tier covers 1,000 DMs a month. Neither puts a link on the Reel; they deliver it to the person who asked.
Can ReelDrop add a clickable link inside my Reel?
No. As of API v26.0, Instagram's content publishing API has no field for a link on a post or reel, so no scheduling tool, ReelDrop included, can add Meta One's Add link for you. It has to be done in the Instagram app when you post. ReelDrop sends the link by DM when someone comments your keyword.
How much does Meta One Advanced cost per link?
About $12.50 per linked Instagram Reel if you use all 4 each month, by our calculation from the $49.99 price. Counting the 4 post links too, it is about $6.25 per link. On Expert the Reel figure is about $18.63 and on Max about $41.58.
Is Meta One Advanced worth it just for links?
I would not buy it only for links. Four Reels a month with no rollover and no editing is thin for $49.99. It is a better deal if you also want the option to apply for a verified badge, scheduling and shared access, which is most of what the price pays for.
Does ReelDrop give me a verified badge?
No. ReelDrop does not sell or arrange verified badges. Meta One Essential and higher include the option to apply for a verified badge, subject to eligibility.
Is comment-to-DM allowed on Instagram?
Yes, when it runs through the official Instagram API. ReelDrop is a Meta Tech Provider, connects through Meta's own login screen, never asks for your password, and needs an Instagram professional account.
Can I use Meta One and ReelDrop on the same account?
Yes. Post the Reel from the Instagram app with Meta's Add link, then point a ReelDrop comment automation at that live Reel. That Reel cannot be scheduled through ReelDrop, because Add link has to be added in the app.
Is there a web sign-up for Meta One?
Not in general yet. Meta's help center says you can only subscribe through a supported Meta mobile app on iPhone or Android and that it is working to enable web onboarding. The same subscribe article also lists Meta Business Suite for web, so check there if you manage a business.
What happens if I cancel Meta One?
Meta says you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the billing period. The subscription renews automatically until you do. Links you already shared can't be edited, before or after you cancel.
I have Meta Verified Plus. Should I switch to Meta One Advanced?
At the same $49.99, Advanced lists 4 Reel links a month against Plus's 2, plus post links and scheduling. Meta says current Meta Verified subscribers see no change right now and will be notified when they can make the switch, so for now watch for that notice and check the vs guide for what each plan keeps.
